What I want

I think if we were to do a project that broke up into groups we would benefit more. I am all for the input from every class member... but I think we have so many ideas floating around, and it might be better to center around a purpose if we were in smaller groups...

I think the availability project is fine. But, I feel it is kind of week as far as making an impact goes.

Maybe we can do something along the lines of bringing drug attention to Tech, or how about finding out ALL the details on this wonderful leisure pool, that most of us seniors will not have the opportunity to set foot in. Those are things I think others want to hear about, because they affect people directly.

As far as the pool goes, yes it is a waste of student dollars as it has grown from a 7 million dollar project to a 8.5 million dollar project. However, that being said students that graduate in May and those who will not be here in the Fall of 09 will not be paying the extra $20 in student fees, the bill for the pool is simply being kicked down the road for future students.

Breaking up into smaller groups is probably the best idea I have heard so far. This will allow everyone to accomplish what they would like without all the turmoil of a huge debate that results in no agreement being reached. This is a definite step in the right direction.

I'm not a fan of the leisure pool... We didn't come to college to lay in a pool! How about improving the parking situation(s) on campus? I don't think the people responsible for the funding of this pool care about the real issues at hand because then that would make to much sense!

I am actually interested about the leisure pool, also. I would like to know all the details because this is where our money is going and it's true that most of us seniors will probably never get to set foot in it.

I agree that the availability of Tech resources is semi-morally weak. However, when I brought up the idea in class I wasn't thinking of resources of the "entertainment" area. I was thinking more along the lines of the free therapy sessions people could get or the medical benefits of being a student here at Tech. However, the project has taken a different turn and I agree that I would be more interested in focusing on something that would make more of an impact as you put it.

We could petition the pool. Heh.

Actually I think it would be too late to divert the pool resources to something else like the parking conditions. So if you can win the battle, might as well join the other side, right?

We could investigate the pool and then come up with ideas of how the pool would be beneficial?

Also smaller groups would be essential to cover all the areas of a project.

Groups are not my favorite thing to do, however, they're a necessary, inescapable evil in this life. I did agree with {w.l.s} comment. A class project with sub-groupings all working toward a particular aspect of the whole project.
